The UO College of Education is seeking public comments on the quality of its teacher preparation programs as part of its accreditation process.
The accreditor, the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation, will visit the college May 17-18. Accreditation helps support a continuous process of evaluation and improvement and provides valuable guidance to the college in determining future strategic directions for the college’s programs.
Comments from the broader College of Education community and stakeholder groups affected by its programs is an essential component of the comprehensive assessment. All comments must be submitted by April 19, 2021, through the association’s website.
Comments are being sought for initial teacher licensure programs in elementary education, English for speakers of other languages, single subjects — including advanced math, biology, chemistry, English language arts, foundational English language arts, foundational mathematics, foundational science, foundational social studies, integrated science, physics, social studies, World Language: Chinese, World Language: French, World Language: German, World Language: Japanese, World Language: Spanish — early intervention/early childhood special education and special education generalist.
