Shoniqua Roach, a first-year faculty member in the UO Department of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies, will explore her research in a Center for the Study of Women in Society Noon Talk on Friday, Jan. 26.
The talk will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Jane Grant Conference Room in Hendricks Hall and is open to the public.
Roach will present a close, comparative analysis of Dee Ree’s 2011 feature film “Pariah” and a 2007 short film with the same title and basic story. Roach will focus on the differences between the character and function of key characters in both films.
