UO professor emerita Judith Hibbard has been recognized as one of the nation’s most-often cited researchers in a list issued by Thomson Reuters.
Hibbard, who is in the Department of Planning, Public Policy and Management, was listed in the category of general social sciences. She is one of more than 3,000 scientists placed on the Highly Cited Researchers list.
The list is an update of one last published in 2001. But the current version uses a different selection method that gives more weight to highly cited papers, those that rank in the top 1 percent by number of citations in their field for a given year. It also limits citations to those published between 2002 and 2012.
