The UO is putting commencement in the palm of a hand.
The Class of 2016 will bid farewell to campus June 13, and to help guide and prepare eligible graduates and their guests, a new app serves up the lowdown on all things graduation.
The Be a Duck app provides easy access to a full event schedule, an interactive campus map and important campus contacts. The app details activities for the day of commencement as well as the days leading up to the big event, including the Grad Parade, the main university commencement ceremony, department ceremonies, GradFest activities, the Senior Send-off and Alumni InDUCKtion.
Additional day-of information for the main ceremony includes details on parking, travel, shuttles, guest seating, accessibility and maps. The same information also is available on the new commencement website, commencement.uoregon.edu.
The university no longer offers an August commencement ceremony. All seniors graduating in fall, winter, spring or summer are invited to celebrate with the entire class at the 2016 spring ceremonies.
Any questions about the university commencement ceremony can be directed to commencement@uoregon.edu, or 541-346-9262.
