University of Oregon School of Music and Dance faculty members Dean Kramer and Claire Wachter will perform a free, two-piano concert at Steinway Hall in New York City at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 28.

Titled “Broadway Meets Steinway,” the concert will feature George Gershwin’s “Porgy and Bess” and Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story Dances,” as well as other great works for two pianos.

Kramer and Wachter, both associate professors at the UO, were each named to the distinguished roster of International Steinway Artists in 2011. They have performed as soloists with the Oregon Symphony, Eugene Symphony, and Oregon Mozart players, and on National Public Radio's “Performance Today.”

Located at 109 W. 57th Street in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, Steinway Hall is the legendary flagship store of Steinway & Sons.
