The University of Oregon is bringing five candidates to campus Friday, Feb. 22, through Friday, March 1, in its national search for a chief human resources officer.
Jamie Moffitt, vice president for finance and administration and chief financial officer, said the hire is key to the Office of Human Resources’ success as a strategic, innovative and results-oriented partner for the university community.
“We have recruited a number of excellent candidates for the position,” Moffitt said. “Each of our finalists is a seasoned practitioner with a breadth of HR experience, and I’m excited to introduce them to our campus.”
HR staff and HR partners, union and employee group representatives, university leaders, and other stakeholders will be invited to meet with each of the finalists during his or her respective campus visits.
Details about each candidate will be released in advance of their visit on the finance and administration website. Community members are encouraged to submit feedback on the candidates through online surveys, which will also posted on the website.
The search committee was chaired by Greg Stripp, chief of staff and senior advisor to the president, and included representatives from academic and administrative units, HR and several employee groups. The committee partnered with Parker Executive Search to ensure a broad search yielding a diverse pool of well-qualified candidates.
