The UO Libraries seeks input from teaching faculty and graduate teaching fellows as it reviews options for the university’s learning management system.
The UO has been a Blackboard site since 1999, and the current contract expires in March 2015. There are several alternatives on the market, both commercial and open source, that must be reviewed to determine how well they align with campus instructional needs.
Six vendors have scheduled public presentations on campus to demonstrate their products.
Teaching faculty and GTFs are encouraged to attend and provide feedback to the selection committee. Following the presentations, comments may be submitted to the LMS Review blog at http://blogs.uoregon.edu/lmsreview/. Additional information on the review process is available on the blog.
