The University of Oregon’s conflict and dispute resolution master’s program, which operates within the School of Law, has announced a new scholarship aimed at Double Ducks.

Called the Dean’s Double Duck Award, the scholarship offers $12,500 toward tuition in the two-year program. Any current UO undergraduate with a cumulative 3.3 GPA who applies by April 29 and is admitted to the program is eligible for the award.

Students in the conflict and dispute resolution program learn in cohorts and have significant flexibility to adapt the program to their interests. Program graduates have a wide range of career options, working as mediators, ombudsmen, conflict resolution experts and diplomats in settings as intimate as families and as expansive as the United Nations.

Effectively resolving conflict is a skill valued by many organizations, and program managers and faculty hope this substantial new scholarship will motivate undergraduate Ducks to pursue a career in conflict resolution.
