The momentum from the October launch of the University of Oregon’s $2 billion fundraising campaign will continue to grow later this month, as University Advancement showcases the campaign priorities and goals with a campus campaign celebration for all faculty and staff.
On Monday, Nov. 17, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Ford Alumni Center’s Giustina Ballroom, the campus community is invited to join interim President Scott Coltrane and Vice President for Advancement Michael Andreasen as they share videos, images and stories that will be rolled out across the country as an ongoing celebration of the UO.
“The announcement of our $2 billion goal was really just the beginning,” Coltrane said. “We wanted to bring our campus community together to help launch this effort and to celebrate what an amazing time this is at the UO.”
“We will be taking this celebration across the country in the coming months, but there’s no place like home when it comes to the enthusiasm that people have for the ‘O,’” Andreasen said. “We are so excited to share this experience with our entire faculty and staff.”
Refreshments will be served, followed by a multimedia presentation and remarks from several additional members of the leadership team.
“We are seizing this moment at the University of Oregon,” Coltrane said. “We are leveraging our new governance structure and the groundswell of philanthropic support to fulfill our ambitious vision. This campaign is about momentum and focusing on raising the resources necessary for access, excellence and the UO experience. We’re looking forward to sharing the vision and enthusiasm with the campus community.”
