The fall Sustainability Open House will bring together faculty members, staff and students for conversation and connection.

The event happens Friday, Nov. 4, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Room 104, Erb Memorial Union. Speakers include:

• Adell Amos, Environment Initiative.
• Katie Staton, UO Longhouse.
• Jessie Gardner, Public Interest and Environmental Law Conference.
• Max Arquilevich, Citizen's Climate Lobby intern.
• Leigh Johnson and Troy Brundidge, wildfires and incarcerated laborers research.
• Ella Meloy and Graham Yotsuya, Sustainability Leadership and Engagement Program. 
• Elly Vandegrift, Global Works International internship.

Speakers will give a micropresentation on their work, followed by unstructured time for networking and deeper conversations with the speakers.

“The pandemic really underscored how important community connections are to sustainability,” said Office of Sustainability assistant director Sarah Stoeckl. “Remote open houses during the past two years aimed to support those connections, but I’m so excited to return to in-person during this phase of the pandemic.”

All are invited to attend, and light refreshments will be provided. Masks are welcome. Sustainability Open Houses are sponsored by the Environmental Studies Program, Student Sustainability Center and Office of Sustainability.
