Flu shots available to UO faculty and staff during October

The University Health Center will hold immunization hours reserved for UO faculty and staff each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in October.

These reserved hours will last through Oct. 31, with the exception of Wednesday, Oct. 8, and Wednesday, Oct. 22. To receive the shots, a UO identification card must be brought to the clinic along with a Providence PEBB insurance card.

Immunizations against influenza and tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (whooping cough) will be offered.

Duck the FluThose not carried by Providence will need to pay cash or check — the influenza vaccine cost is $27 and the Tdap is $53 — but the clinic can provide a statement so that an insurance company can be billed. Faculty and staff can receive shots during regular clinic hours, but students will be given top priority.

The University Health Center can immunize only UO faculty and staff. Children, spouses and relatives of UO staff and faculty cannot be immunized by the Health Center.
