Interim President Scott Coltrane and Acting Provost Frances Bronet shared their commitment to moving full steam ahead on critical campus initiatives in an email to faculty and staff. In the joint message sent on Wednesday, both expressed their appreciation for the support of the leadership team and the campus community for supporting a successful transition to new leadership.
Coltrane and Bronet said they are fully supportive of initiatives begun over the last year including updating the academic plan, faculty cluster hiring and preparing for the public phase of the fundraising campaign, among other initiatives.
The email also provided an update on several position vacancies and searches. Coltrane and Bronet have decided to wait to begin several searches for leadership positions until next year to allow the new president to be involved in important university hires.
The full letter is posted on the president’s website.
