Nature photos now on display at law library's Mezzanine Gallery

Portland photographer Mark Reid’s “Natural Elements” exhibit is open for viewing in the UO School of Law’s second floor Mezzanine Gallery from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and will run until Jan. 2.

Reid’s gallery features photographs of colorful flowers and plants, rivers and landscapes that reflect the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Capturing each image from a different angle, the photographs demonstrate Reid’s individual style. The purpose of the “Natural Elements” exhibit, he said, is “to show a different, unique new perspective of the natural world we see every day.”

Reid’s past galleries have been featured in Atlanta’s High Museum of Art, the Denver Art Museum, Columbus Museum of Art, Utah Museum of Fine Art and at the Hult Center’s Jacobs Gallery.

A public reception for Reid will be held from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at the Knight Law Center.
