There’s a new service at the University Health Center: Cheaper over-the-counter medicine for faculty and staff.
The service has been added at the UHC pharmacy. Just bring your UO ID to the pharmacy during the University Health Center's hours of operation; the pharmacy accepts cash or check but not debit and credit cards.
The pharmacy will stock over-the-counter allergy medication including Claritin, Zyrtec, Benadryl and Allegra. They also sell other items including pain relievers, acid reducers, sunscreen and safer-sex products.
The pharmacy also carries products for colds, flu, skin rashes, athletes' foot, yeast infections contact lens solutions and supplies.
The pharmacy is located on the first floor of the building. Registered pharmacists fill prescriptions written by any physician or nurse practitioner, including those from students’ personal practitioners.
The facility also has reference materials for identifying drugs from other countries; there is no charge for long-distance phone calls. Pharmacy prices are potentially lower than elsewhere.
The pharmacy cannot honor co-pay insurance plans.
