The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation is now accepting nominations for the UO Outstanding Teaching, Research and Mentorship Awards, a joint effort with the Office of the Provost and Graduate School.
The research awards categories are:
- Outstanding career award, to be awarded to a tenured faculty member at the professor rank.
- Early career award, to be awarded to a tenure-track faculty member at the assistant professor rank.
- Outstanding accomplishment award, for a career non-tenure-track faculty member engaged in research.
- Innovation and impact award, an individual or team engaged in outstanding entrepreneurial or broader public engagement activity, including communication, policy or outreach.
Awardees of these categories receive a commendation — including $1,000 in research support, or $2,500 for a team — a recognition memento and highlighting of their work. Nominations or self-nominations are due Wednesday, April 10, and should be addressed to David Conover, vice president for research and innovation, at vpri@uoregon.edu.
