Nominations open for the 2019 Outstanding Research Awards

The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation is now accepting nominations for the UO Outstanding Teaching, Research and Mentorship Awards, a joint effort with the Office of the Provost and Graduate School.

The research awards categories are:

  • Outstanding career award, to be awarded to a tenured faculty member at the professor rank.
  • Early career award, to be awarded to a tenure-track faculty member at the assistant professor rank.
  • Outstanding accomplishment award, for a career non-tenure-track faculty member engaged in research.
  • Innovation and impact award, an individual or team engaged in outstanding entrepreneurial or broader public engagement activity, including communication, policy or outreach.

Awardees of these categories receive a commendation — including $1,000 in research support, or $2,500 for a team — a recognition memento and highlighting of their work. Nominations or self-nominations are due Wednesday, April 10, and should be addressed to David Conover, vice president for research and innovation, at vpri@uoregon.edu.
