Improved parking for disabled patrons, a new mobile pay option and the first rate increase in four years are some key changes this fall for University of Oregon parking and transportation.
- Faculty/staff parking increases by $1.30 per month (to $33.30). That's $300 per year for nine-month permits, and $400 per year for 12-month permits. Other permit fee increases are listed on the Department of Parking and Transportation website. Permit renewal for 2014-15 begins Sept. 8 and can be done online. Twelve-month permits for 2013-14 are good through Sept. 30.
- More spaces for disabled drivers will be added all across campus, providing more equitable access for employees, students and visitors.
- Pay-by-space parking is easier than ever, with the option to pay by phone and to pay using a vehicle's license plate number rather than parking space number. These options are coming later this fall.
