The Department of Physical Education and Recreation is offering a new summer workout and wellness program for faculty and staff as part of the Healthy Oregon initiative.
The six-week L.I.V.E. Healthy program will emphasize learning, inspiration, values and education in fitness, nutrition and wellness. The intent is to help guide the UO community in making healthy choices and changes.
For a $50 fee, participants can participate in weekly workouts and nutrition and wellness and nutrition sessions. The group will meet three times a week from July 8 through Aug. 15.
Group workouts will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. in Room 220, Gerlinger Hall. The first two exercise sessions, July 8 and July 10, will be “free” as a trial to help with recruitment (and get you started right away). Come dressed in athletic apparel and ready to work!
Nutrition and wellness sessions will be Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. in Room 303, Gerlinger Hall.
The 18-session program includes:
