Runoff elections for University Senate and Standing Committees

The recent elections for University Senate and Standing Committees resulted in two tie votes. We must therefore hold a runoff election to determine the final result of these elections, and have also included three candidates for unfilled open positions. Please note that due to candidates representing a limited number of constituencies, only tenured and tenure-track teaching faculty as well as statutory faculty members of the College of Arts and Sciences or the Law School are eligible to vote in this runoff election. However, anyone can view the candidates online here: 2014 University Senate and Elected Committee Run Off Elections.

If you are a tenure or tenure-track faculty member or a statutory faculty member of the College of Arts and Sciences or the Law School, please log in to Duckweb to vote for your representatives. The deadline to vote is this Friday, June 6 at 5 p.m.

Also, we are pleased to announce the results of our recent election for University Senate and standing committees (excluding the tie votes and open positions). Additionally, appointed committee appointments have been made by the Committee on Committees. Please find the results of the elections and appointments process online here: 2014 Elected and Appointed Committee Results.

Lastly, please note that we are still accepting nominations for the Task Force to End Sexual Violence and Support Survivors, as you saw in an email last Friday from Senate President Robert Kyr. If you would like to nominate someone to serve on this task force, please email Lisa Mick Shimizu, Senate executive coordinator, by noon on Wednesday, June 4.

Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions at all. Thank you all for your engagement in this important process.
