A celebration of John Crosiar’s retirement will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, in the Alumni Lounge at the University of Oregon's Gerlinger Hall.
Crosiar has been a university employee since 1979; the reception will honor his longstanding commitment as a staff member.
He is currently assistant director and senior editor for the UO's Office of Design and Editing Services, but Crosiar has held several positions in his 34 years at the university. He has worked in UO departments including Media Relations, Creative Publishing, Communications and Marketing, News Bureau and the Office of Communications.
“I’ve invested nearly three and one-half decades of my professional life at the University of Oregon because I have nearly always found my work in media relations and in editing to be interesting, challenging, and educational,” said Crosiar. “The work has never been boring because I seldom have known what each day will bring. There’s variety in the many responsibilities and opportunities I’ve had, and excitement in learning about new ideas and meeting new people.”
All faculty and staff are invited to the Sept. 17 retirement reception.
