The Office of Investigations and Civil Rights Compliance has extended the deadline of the 2019 student-directed employee survey until Sept. 27.
The extension will provide more time for employees to participate, especially those on nine-month contracts who return to campus in September.
The survey asks for general information regarding sex- and gender-based harassment, discrimination and violence disclosed by students to student-directed employees during academic year 2018-19. It does not ask for information that identifies the student.
The survey is required by UO policy to help the university understand and respond to sex- and gender-based harassment, discrimination and violence.
Under the policy, most employees are student-directed and have specific obligations to assist students in connecting with resources following the students’ wishes. All employees who are not designated reporters or confidential employees are student-directed employees.
