The Office of Human Resources is partnering with Cascade Centers, the UO employee assistance provider, to offer a wellness seminar series this summer to give employees an opportunity to focus on themselves and their own well-being.
“Human resources is committed to supporting a culture of well-being at UO,” said Kaia Rogers, director of HR programs and services. “We are pleased to offer these opportunities for faculty and staff to focus on their own wellness, as it relates to both their personal and professional lives.”
The series will present common topics faced by employees across campus offering insight and coping strategies to help employees balance personal obligations with professional responsibilities.
The summer seminar series focuses on a different aspect of personal well-being each month. The sessions, held in the Erb Memorial Union, are open to all benefit-eligible employees and are free. Here is the series schedule:
- Working in a Changing Environment — June 8, noon-1 p.m., Crater Lake Rooms, EMU.
- Elder Care Options — July 18, noon-1 p.m., Room 282, Lillis Business Complex.
- Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and the Importance of Restful Sleep — Aug. 9, noon-1 p.m., Redwood Auditorium, EMU.
More information about each session and registration instructions are available on the Wellness Seminar Series webpage.
