The University of Oregon is launching a new website to bring many of UO’s sexual assault prevention tools and initiatives under a single site.

The site, at prevention.uoregon.edu, pulls together highlights and information from around the university in an effort to communicate more effectively and allow individuals to stay up to date on prevention efforts happening on campus.

Some of the highlights of this site are the research and assessment page that details research that is influencing student programs, contact information for professional faculty and staff who focus on prevention and research efforts, event information that allows users to see upcoming campus prevention events, reporting details and expectations for UO employees and an updates section showcasing quick highlights on this topic.

This site is the second website in a series of digital communication initiatives and compliments the efforts of the Safe website — which focuses on our response for students efforts. Users can connect to the Safe website from the prevention website on each page, but the information is largely focused on prevention.

“I am excited that we are rolling this site out as a part of our ongoing effort to educate everyone on the great work that is being done,” said Robin Holmes, vice president for student life. “This site will make it easier for all students, faculty and staff, and our communities, to stay informed and have greater access to current information as well as critical services for students.”

Work on the new website was led by the Division of Student Life in collaboration with numerous other offices and divisions on campus.
