UO board of trustees to meet Dec. 9-10 in Portland

The Board of Trustees of the University of Oregon will convene for its next quarterly meeting Dec. 9-10 in the Campus Center Building on the Portland campus. 

On Day 1, the board will hear proposals for the creation of three new degrees, act on an amendment for student trustee compensation and hear reports about sustainability, tuition setting and an annual audit plan. Additionally, there will be quarterly financial and treasury reports.

On Day 2, there will be discussion of the annual reports on student enrollment and the UO Foundation.

Trustees will also hear public comment and standing reports from the Associated Students of the University of Oregon, the University Senate, board chair Steve Holwerda, Provost Chris Long and President Karl Scholz throughout the two days.

Two executive sessions are scheduled, one for a data center security assessment and one on collective bargaining.

The meeting's agenda and materials are available inthe upcoming meetings section of the board website. Meetings will begin at 9 a.m. both days, and public comment is scheduled for the second day.

Written comments can be submitted attrustees@uoregon.edu. Written comments will be shared with all trustees, but to ensure they are sent prior to the meeting they must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6.
