The UO's Center for Assessment, Statistics and Evaluation (CASE) is seeking campus input to assess the research support needs of faculty and graduate students.
An online survey allows participants to share their research practices and submit preferences for support.
The survey, directed toward faculty members and graduate teaching fellows, is intended to help define areas of greatest need and sources of expertise. It asks respondents where they look for information, how much they would utilize CASE services and if they would like to be involved with CASE.
CASE is a new, university-wide research core facility housed within the Office for Research, Innovation and Graduate Education. The purpose of CASE is to encourage research throughout Oregon by providing affordable assistance with design, analysis, statistics and methods to GTFs and faculty, both affiliated with and outside of the university.
CASE will bill its clients with hourly rates that depend on the level of expertise required and whether the requestor is affiliated with UO or not. In addition, CASE will provide alternative programs to enable specialized circumstances, such as pre-proposal or exploratory efforts.
