The Office of the Dean of Students is looking for faculty, staff and students with interesting tales to tell about their homes as part of a spring term storytelling event.
Rehearsals for Life will host a storytellers’ workshop for all UO community members on Saturday, March 4. This free, three-hour workshop will focus on exploring and developing attendees’ personal stories and storytelling skills.
The workshop serves as a precursor to “Intertwined: a UO Listening Event” May 11. Workshop attendees may be invited to share their story at the May event, which joins UO storytellers with musicians on stage and is facilitated by theater arts associate professor Theresa May.
Intertwined focuses on pairing truth and artistry to build community and empathy on campus. The 2017 theme is “Stories of Home” and the many ways home can be interpreted.
Faculty, staff and students interested in participating in the workshop can register online. The workshop will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Room 251, Straub Hall. Contact rehearsals@uoregon.edu with questions.
