UO professor Anita Weiss will be featured in a webinar on international research staged by the Council of American Overseas Research Centers.

The webinar begins at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27. Register to attend on the council’s website.

Weiss, a professor of international and global studies, will discuss her experience with the multicountry research fellowship, which is affiliated with Le Centre d’Etudes Maghrébines à Tunis and the American Institute of Pakistan Studies. She will also address how the fellowship helped influence her career researching Muslim women’s rights. She will be joined by council staff.

Weiss also will discuss her more recent work, which includes collaborations with Karakoram International University on projects related to female entrepreneurism as well as climate change and glaciology in Gilgit-Baltistan. Weiss is the director of the KIU-UO Climate Change and Glaciology Project.
