University of Oregon doctoral student Sonia De La Cruz is keeping the feminist movement alive.
The UO School of Journalism and Communication student contributed to the second section of “Renewing Feminisms: Radical Narratives, Fantasies, and Future in Media Studies,” a recently published book that contradicts the belief that the feminist movement is a thing of the past.
De La Cruz also co-produced a movie on the feminist movement at the UO. The movie, “Agents of Change: A Legacy of Feminist Research, Teaching, and Activism at the University of Oregon,” will premiere Nov. 7 at the 40th anniversary celebration of the Center for the Study of Women in Society.
