UO philosophy professor Naomi Zack appeared on Public Radio International Oct. 18 to talk about the issues covered in her new book "White Privilege and Black Rights."

In a seven-minute interview http://www.ttbook.org/listen/87571 titled "Let's Stop Talking About Privilege," Zack said the U.S. has formal equality by way of laws, but more work needs to be done to improve the legal infrastructure. When white people talk about privilege — how good life is for them — the conversation reflects passivity on how to deal with violations of rights, she explains.
