Art in the Attic, an annual fundraiser for the UO’s Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, will be held Wednesday, Aug. 20, at the Oakway Center Heritage Courtyard.
The event is led and planned by the Gourmet Group, a volunteer organization that has been working and fundraising for the museum for more than 40 years. Art in the Attic will display pieces of art and décor from the Eugene community that will be on sale during the event. All proceeds will go to the museum’s education programs.
“We believe that, by raising funds for educational programs for JSMA, we are growing the next generation of museum patrons in our community,” Gourmet Group member Denise Gudger said.
Past funds raised from “Art in the Attic” have supported education projects including outreach, school tours and scholarships for camps and classes. More than 3,000 K-12 students annually come through the museum’s school tour program.
The Oakway Center Heritage Courtyard is at 2350 Oakmont Way. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
