"Let’s Make Some Noise" is the theme for the Museum of Natural and Cultural History’s 2014 Winter Solstice celebration planned for Friday, Dec. 12.

The event, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., will be held at the museum, 1680 E. 15th Ave., and at the adjacent Many Nations Longhouse. It is being hosted by the museum partnership with the Longhouse, FOOD for Lane County and Eugene Weekly and will feature live music and dance performances reflecting a variety of cultural traditions from West Africa to South America to the American South.
