Biography:
Elizabeth Day is an academic expert in understanding the use of research evidence by practitioners and policymakers. More specifically, her focus for this work is on state and local policymakers, as well as educational decision-makers at the state, district, and school levels. Day seeks to better understand how research is used in these contexts, what factors promote and inhibit use, and best practices for connecting researchers with audiences outside of academia to ultimately better support youth and families. Day also has extensive experience teaching graduate level courses on these topics.
