Faculty bio
Geovanna Rodriguez is an academic expert in youth mental health, school psychology, special education and autism. Her education and training is in school psychology, with an emphasis on understanding the development and maintenance of mental health challenges in youth with Autism and other types of neurodevelopmental disabilities. Rodriguez’s research focuses on mental health promotion in schools and improving screening and mental health supports for adolescents with disabilities with a focus on implementation and equity-centered practices. Her research is aimed at improving culturally relevant and neurodiversity-informed practices that will promote school climate experiences for youth with disabilities and youth with multiply minoritized identities.
