Ilana Umansky is an academic expert in education policy and practices as it relates to immigrant students, bilingual students and English learner students. Ilana can speak to the expansion of bilingual and dual immersion schools, learning outcomes among English learner-classified students, changes in English learner classification and reclassification policies, and education programs to support refugees and other recently-arrived immigrant students.
