For the first time in program history, the Oregon softball team is the No. 1 ranked team in the nation.The Ducks are a unanimous No. 1 as head coach Mike White's squad picked up the top spot in both the USA Today/NFCA top-25 poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball top-25 poll.Oregon's No. 3 ranking in both polls at the end of the regular season last year was the team's previous best before climbing to No. 2 earlier this year.The Ducks started the 2014 season ranked No. 8 in both polls.
