Gary Ross Davis, who provided information and reception since 2005 from the UO Department of Parking and Transportation kiosk on 13th Avenue, passed away on Monday, Aug. 19. The University of Oregon School of Law officially welcomed the members of the class of 2016 to the William W. Knight Law Center during a convocation ceremony Tuesday, Aug. 20. The occasion marks the beginning of each student's law school journey.Law school classes officially begin Monday, Aug. 26, for all new and returning students. The academic year for the rest of the UO begins Monday, Sept. 30.

Students in adjunct instructor David Bretz’s Arts and Administration Program course, “Art and Visual Literacy,” visited the University of Oregon in Portland’s White Stag location in July for a special tour of art galleries and public art in the region.

“The Grace of Silence,” by NPR special correspondent Michele Norris, has been selected for the reading in anticipation of Norris’ visit to campus Nov. 13.
