An exhibit highlighting the history of film culture at the University of Oregon is on display in the cases located in the east and west entryway corridors of Knight Library. The exhibit, which will run through August, is entitled "Kin-O: A History of Movie Culture on Campus."
The Oregon Undergraduate Research Journal (OUR Journal) is an online, open access undergraduate research journal at the University of Oregon developed by students at the UO, who carry out all facets of its operation. The publication showcases some of the best research and writing by UO undergraduates. OUR Journal launched its fourth issue (Volume 4, Number 1) in the spring of 2013, which can be accessed at http://journals.oregondigital.org/OURJ.
Janis Weeks is a biology professor. Marilyn Mohr, a technician with UO Libraries. And together, they make beautiful music. Weeks and Mohr play the “mbira dzavadzimu,” an African musical instrument that consists of a wooden board to which staggered metal keys have been attached.
There’s a new service at the University Health Center: Cheaper over-the-counter medicine for faculty and staff. The service has been added at the UHC pharmacy. Just bring your UO ID to the pharmacy during the University Health Center's hours of operation; the pharmacy accepts cash or check but not debit and credit cards.
