Student athletes step out of an art class and into a hospital room to help a victim of the Umpqua Community College tragedy.

A grant from the Sloan Foundation will provide continued support for research conducted at the UO’s Biology and the Built Environment Center.

The work by former UO postdoctoral researcher James Meadow and faculty colleagues says individuals can be identified by the bacterial signature.

Kevin Van Den Wymelenberg leaves the University of Idaho to take over the UO research facility founded in 1977 by G.Z. Brown.

The design was honored by the Industrial Design Society of America in the furniture and lighting category of an international competition.
