Eleven University of Oregon students will receive Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships to fund their summer 2015 study abroad programs.
The six new University of Oregon Stamps Scholars were featured Tuesday on OregonLive, the online version of The Oregonian. The high school seniors are among the top students in the state and will enroll this fall at the UO.The Stamps Scholarship is the most prestigious and generous merit award from the University of Oregon. It provides tuition, room and board, and access to an enrichment fund that helps students pursue study abroad, internships and other experiences, and is renewable for four years.

Volunteers are needed to help with the second in a series of meningitis vaccine clinics being held on the UO campus to inoculate students against the potentially deadly infection.The next clinic will be May 12-14 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Matthew Knight Arena. Students will be given the second in a series of three shots with the Trumenba vaccine.Volunteers are needed for three daily shifts: 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. People are urged to sign up for one or more shifts.
