The 'See Something, Say Something, Do Something' folders help faculty and staff find resources for students who need help with classes or coping.

Eighty-three faculty members in the college received 94 awards and honors for their teaching and research in the past year.

A 1949 UO accounting graduate, Peterson was honored with the Presidential Medal in 2004 and the Pioneer Award in 2011.

The awards recognize students who are academically outstanding and are leaders in the campus community. Nominations are due Feb. 29.

The visit marked the first time all seven of Oregon's public universities visited the Capitol on the same day to meet with lawmakers.
