Around the O, the University of Oregon’s news website, has added a new section intended to recognize notable professional achievement by faculty members and other employee groups.

The new page, titled Awards and Accolades, highlights professional achievements such as major grants, career awards, honors, fellowships, and elections to regional and national boards and committees.

In addition, a section at the bottom of the page lists upcoming UO-sponsored award and recognition programs.  

One goal behind the new page is to elevate the standard of teaching, research and service at the UO by highlighting the achievements of faculty members and other employees.

The page can be found under the Awards tab on the main Around the O site.

 To submit an accolade to be featured on the page, fill out the online story form.
