To create more space on campus for critical student services, the Business Affairs Office is moving from Oregon Hall to the Thompson University Center beginning Oct. 25.
Business affairs will be co‐located with the budget and resource planning office in its new location at 720 E. 13th Ave.
The move into the newly renovated Thompson University Center will take place over a four-week time frame. Individual departments will move over a 2-3 day period. Business affairs will continue to operate during these times; however, services may be limited as individual moves are taking place.
Holly Syljuberget, the business affairs office manager, encourages people to review the timeline of specific department moves by visiting the business affairs website or call ahead with any question about business operations during the move.
The move out of Oregon Hall will improve the use of space and provide additional room for student services that have outgrown their current spaces, including academic advising, admissions, financial aid and scholarships, and international student and scholar services, along with the dean of students office, registrar’s office, Accessible Education Center, Center for Multicultural Academic Excellence and Global Education Oregon study abroad program.
The project will allow staff in remote locations to move back into Oregon Hall and will also reorganize programs within the building to improve collaboration among related services.
