The Vivian Olum Child Development Center has fall openings for University of Oregon faculty and staff families in its toddler and pre-K classrooms. Located on the east side of campus, the center draws on the university environment to support children’s learning and development.
“We have all the resources of campus available to us,” said Tamara Clark, the center’s director. “We can take kids to the fields or the Rec Center to play, and also to a parent’s lab to watch science happen.”
Fall care begins Sept. 2. Toddlers need to be two years old by Sept. 1. Pre-K students need to be four years old by Sept. 1. The center has no potty-training requirements.
To enroll in the toddler or pre-K program or to get on the waitlist for other age groups, contact Kristy Larson, enrollment and operations coordinator, at 541-346-6596 or kalarson@uoregon.edu.
“We get to be a part of all the wonderful things that people do on campus,” Larson said. “We provide children with a nurturing, loving environment so their parents can pursue all different types of important university work.”
