The campus community is invited to celebrate the reopening of Chapman Hall, the academic home of the Clark Honors College, during an event from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, May 10.
Chapman Hall, originally built in 1939, underwent a renovation to maximize functionality of space and update usability and comfort within the building, while preserving and restoring the building’s historic charm.
The celebration event will include a short program at 4:30 p.m. featuring remarks by UO President Michael Schill, state Rep. Nancy Nathanson, interim honors college Dean Karen Ford and honors college advisory board chair Richard Boyles. Those in attendance will be able to tour the building, which is located on E. 13th Avenue on the northeast corner of the memorial quad.
