The University of Oregon is in active negotiations with employee unions to reach new collective bargaining agreements. The following updates are offered to keep the campus community informed:
United Academics: Missy Matella, senior director of employee and labor relations, sent an email to faculty members on Feb. 27 as an update on ongoing negotiations with United Academics.
United Academics represents tenure-track and career faculty. The union and the university have been bargaining over the last two months to reach agreement on a new contract. Information about ongoing negotiations will continue to be available on the bargaining updates webpage on the HR website.
University of Oregon Police Association: The university and the UO Police Association will meet again on March 12 and the parties are expected to present all opening proposals by mid-March.
The bargaining teams will continue to meet periodically throughout the winter and spring terms in their efforts to establish terms for a new collective bargaining agreement. The current CBA expires on June 30.
