Duck ID Account Management homepage will get new look

The homepage of the Duck ID Account Management website will get a redesign just before fall term begins at the University of Oregon.

During the week of Sept. 18, Information Services plans to streamline the main webpage at duckid.uoregon.edu. Many of the forthcoming improvements were informed by feedback received since the new Duck ID platform launched in February:

  • Prominent new "Log in" button.
  • Clearer organization.
  • Removal of excess information.

No downtime will be required for these changes, which complement recent updates to the login screen and password recovery process.

The UO Service Portal page describing the Duck ID website change will soon be updated to reflect the new homepage design.

The Duck ID website is best known as the place where UO students, staff and faculty members change their Duck ID passwords every six months.

Post-launch improvements to the new platform will continue in the coming months, as announced in August. When that work requires downtime, Information Services will schedule it for times that minimize impacts to the UO community.

Notices about downtime will be posted on the IT Service Status website. That's also where Information Services will post in-the-moment updates if the work runs long or causes unexpected problems.

Anyone with questions can submit a ticket through the Duck ID accounts page in the UO Service Portal, or contact the IT staff who support their unit or the Technology Service Desk.
