The University of Oregon has recognized officers of administration and classified employees who reached a major milestone anniversary in January, February or March of this year.
The campus community is invited to view the list of honorees and the Wall of Honor, which recognizes those who have worked at the university for 25 years or more, and to send a personal note of gratitude to those they have worked with along the way.
The Office of Human Resources now publishes the years of service honorees list throughout the year so honorees and colleagues can celebrate the achievement much closer to the actual anniversary date. The current list of honorees includes more than 100 employees with collectively more than 1,000 years of institutional knowledge.
Honorees can request a service certificate and a lapel pin to commemorate this achievement.
The university intends to hold the annual Years of Service Celebration next January when HR hosts in-person receptions to recognize both 2020 and 2021 honorees. HR will continue to monitor safety regulations and follow guidelines for in-person gatherings when planning the event. Honorees will receive an invitation with details toward the end of the year when more information is available.
HR identifies years of service honorees using employment dates in Banner. If employees have questions about why they are or are not included on the current list of honorees, they can contact HR at hrcommunications@uoregon.edu to resolve the issue.
