University Communications provides training about the University of Oregon brand. The next offering for faculty and staff is on Dec. 3 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the Ford Alumni Center. Registration is now open. Space is limited to 35 in-person attendees, and light refreshments will be served. A remote option through Zoom is also available.
While open to all, this periodic training is geared toward those who have job responsibilities related to communications or regularly apply the UO brand in their work. The 90-minute gathering is an opportunity to learn about the UO brand, how to incorporate it into your work and have your questions answered by the UO brand experts. The training covers a range of topics, including applying the UO’s brand, logos and marks, trademark and licensing, ordering merchandise and more.
The UO has a distinct and special collection of logos and marks with special meaning and historic significance. These marks bond our community together and provide a way for our audiences to recognize and connect with the brand. Brand training helps ensure that our logos and marks are used with care and in accordance with our shared brand guidelines.
