University Communications provides training about the University of Oregon brand. The schedule for fall term is posted. The first offering for faculty and staff is Sept. 9 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in Room 403 of the Ford Alumni Center. Registration is now open.
For subsequent workshops, registration will open approximately one month prior to each date, which are Oct. 7, Nov. 4 and Dec. 2. Employees only need to attend one session.
While open to all, this training is geared toward those whose primary position is not in marketing and communications but do have job responsibilities related to communications or regularly apply the UO brand in their work.
The 90-minute gathering is an opportunity to learn about compliance, how to incorporate the university’s intellectual property into departmental work and have questions answered by the UO brand experts. The training covers a range of topics, including visual identity, logos and marks, trademark and licensing, and ordering merchandise.
