Get trained by experts on using and applying the UO brand

University Communications provides training to employees about the University of Oregon brand. The first session of winter term is Jan. 29 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in Room 403 of the Ford Alumni Center. A Zoom option is also available. Registration is now open.

Upcoming sessions for winter and spring terms will happen during the afternoons of Feb. 26, March 31 and April 30. Registration will be open about one month prior to each session date and will be mentioned in the Workplace newsletter. Employees only need to attend one session.

While open to all, this training is geared toward faculty and staff whose primary position is not in marketing and communications but do have job responsibilities related to communications or regularly apply the UO brand in their work.

The 90-minute gathering is an opportunity to learn about compliance, how to incorporate the university’s intellectual property into departmental work and have questions answered by the UO brand experts. The training covers a range of topics, including visual identity, logos and marks, trademark and licensing, and ordering merchandise.
