The annual open enrollment period for benefit-eligible employees includes a health engagement model program. This tool helps employees learn about health risks and take actions to reduce them.
Get started on the open enrollment process by taking the following action now:
- Review the health engagement model agreement.
- Make a decision about participation in health model. Employees who complete the health assessment and enroll in the HEM during open enrollment, which begins Oct. 1, will receive a monthly incentive of $17.50.
- If planning to participate, complete the online health assessment questionnaire between Sept. 1 and Oct. 31. Health assessments done outside of these dates will not be accepted. Be sure to print or save your completion certificate.
Go to the Public Employees’ Benefit Board website for instructions and follow the links to access the assessment for your current medical plan.
Open enrollment happens each year and gives benefit-eligible employees the opportunity to review benefit offerings and keep or change their elections for the following year. University of Oregon employees eligible for health care benefits are encouraged to make plans now for taking action during the required open enrollment period this October.
Open enrollment is mandatory. Even if there are no changes to the current elections, employees are required to take action. Open enrollment begins Oct. 1, and the deadline for taking action is Oct. 31. Failure to take action will result in additional costs.
